3) Do you think that a dirty learning environment would affect your concentration on your studies? Would you concentrate more efficiently if your environment is cleaner?
4) If you see any litter around, would you pick it up or just ignore it?
5) Do you litter in school? If yes, state the reasons on why you would litter. If no,why do you think that people litter?
6) If you happen to see people littering in school, would you leave the place without doing anything or would you go forward to tell them what they are doing is unacceptable?
7) Why do you think people refuse to pick up litter even though they have seen it?
8) How dirty do you find sst on a scale of 1-10?

The results of the survey are presented in pie chart with paragraphs accompanying it as shown below.
Do you find SST dirty? If yes, where in particular and tell us the reason.
According to our survey, about 34 students (78%) think that SST is not dirty. About 5 students (11%) think that SST is dirty and another 5 (11%) students think that SST is neutral (not exactly that dirty, and not exactly very clean as well) when it comes to cleanliness.

Do you find the black rubber from the field scattered all over the school? If yes, please tell us your opinion(s) about it and if no, please tell us how you would feel about it being randomly scattered all over the school.
About 39 students (87.5%) we surveyed thinks that the black rubber is scattered all around the school. Most of these students find the black rubber annoying, disgusting, irritating, and a minority of them thinks that the black rubber makes visitors think that SST look dirty. 5 students (12.5%) thinks that the black rubber is not scattered all over the school, and they assume that the cleaners will definitely sweep or clean off the black rubber. We feel that this is an extremely inconsiderate act and that something has to be done in order to change their selfish and self-centered mentality. We also  think that everyone ,students, teachers, cleaners and  even visitors have a part to play in keeping SST clean.

Do you think that a dirty learning environment would affect your concentration on your studies? Would you concentrate more efficiently if your environment is cleaner?
Approximately 19 students (44%) think that a dirty environment will not affect their studies, and thinks that if a student concentrates on the lesson, they would not mind the dirty floor. About 25 students (55%) think that a dirty environment will affect their studies, because they get distracted by the dirtiness easily, and would not be able to concentrate on lessons.

If you see any litter around, would you pick it up or just ignore it?
About 34 students (77%) say that they would pick the litter up, 5 students (11%) said that they would not pick the litter up and another 5 students (11%) said that they would pick litter up  only sometimes. According to this website,(Littering is wrong too ),students would only pick up litter sometimes because they know and assume  that the cleaners of sst who are paid to clean the school will definitely clean it away or somebody who wants to keep sst clean will pick it and throw it away. Our group felt that the thinking of these students  are  extremely.Seeing a piece of rubbish and not picking it up is just as worse as littering in sst.We hope that students change their way of thinking that other people will help them pick it up.

Do you litter in school? If yes, state the reasons on why you would litter. If no,why do you think that people litter?
All 44 of the students (100%) say that they do not litter in school, because they care for the cleanliness of the school, and that they are not litterbugs.  This is a good thing, because these students who take our survey would not be a part of causing the school to become dirty.

Do you do litter in school? Would you leave the place without doing anything or would you go forward to tell them what they are doing is unacceptable?
About 39 students (88%) of the students say that they would step up to stop the litterbugs, and the remaining 5 students (11%) of students say that they would not step up.

Why do you think people refuse to pick up litter even though they have seen it?
Most of the students who took the survey thinks that it is because people are too lazy, are in a rush or are afraid that they would dirty their hands (they are even too lazy to make a trip to the toilet and wash their hands), that is why they refuse to pick up litter even though they saw it.

How dirty do you find sst on a scale of 1-10 (1 being the least dirty, and 10 being the dirtiest)?

Most of the students find SST dirty from a range of 1 to 7. The average of the scale is about 2.44 (3 significant figure), which is approximately 2 out of 10. This shows that the students think and believe that SST is generally very clean.
